Alert dogs
Through a collaboration with the Veneto-based association Progetto Serena APS, Diabetes Zero enables patients with diabetes living in Sardinia to equip themselves with molecular dogs trained to sniff out hypo- and hyperglycemia, known as "alert dogs." Since training an alert dog involves high costs, the association covers these expenses. Training of the dogs, including those already owned by patients, is handled by Project Serena's dog trainers.
Diabetes Zero covers these expenses with its own resources, mainly from donations from individuals and 5×1000 dues.

If you want, you can support Diabetes Zero!
We invite all those who wish to support the ZERO DIABETES Association to consider donating 5x1000 of their income tax to it.
Doing so involves no expense and is an option in addition to 8x1000 and 2x1000: it is not an alternative to these.
