About Us

A story that began in 2011...

We are an association founded in 2011 by a group of friends and volunteers united by commitment and enthusiasm. Our dedication and passion have allowed us to become one of the points of reference in Sardinia for all those - citizens, institutions, researchers - involved in the care of people with diabetes.

We operate mainly in Cagliari and Sassari, but cover all of Sardinia, and are one of the largest associations nationwide. We are affiliated with FAND (Italian Diabetic Association) and have joined the Confederation National Forum of Nephropathic, Organ Transplantation and Voluntary Associations, we are constantly dedicated to research, assistance, information activities, early diagnosis, and psychological support.

In a region where a significant proportion of the population has diabetes, a proportion considerably higher than the Italian average, we can make a difference.

Please participate in our initiatives as well and support us as you can! Thank you.

DIABETEZERO
We are here. We will be there.

Our Mission.

Our mission is to support research to cure Diabetes, provide care for those affected, and promote prevention activities. Our goal is to never leave those affected alone.

In Sardinia, a region that ranks among the most affected by type 1 diabetes with 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and about 120 new cases annually among children, psychological, nutritional, legal and administrative support can make a difference. In collaboration with the University of Cagliari, we co-fund research projects and are committed to disseminating the results.

We offer psychological, nutritional, and legal support to our members, organize training courses for better management of the disease, and promote healthy lifestyles for both people with diabetes and the population as a whole.
